Global poetry

I was curious if anyone wanted to post a haiku consisting of their

thoughts, opinions, feelings, etc on Viva La Vida...

thought it would be interesting

or funny

or something to do

no doubt they will change as we grow with this album in our playlists

whatever

I'm an elementary teacher, I should be able to rock the haiku right?

I've listened to the album once (by the way I'll be bringing it with me on Sunday so our downloading party can now be a Viva La Vida listening party).

So, my first reactions...in a haiku...

spiritual echo
like life in technicolor
mellow reflective

Give me some dance beat

the OTHER source of inspiration for this haiku

[Jordan, you're a genius for coming up with this idea, but seriously-- now I can't stop!!!]

Brian Eno makes
all the difference, of course
(Precedent has shown.)

Japanese lovers
are the topic of haiku
and Chris Martin songs

I like the first part--
vida la string arrangements
Yes! to rock guitar

[this last one is in response to the song 'Yes!', if it's obvious.]

Strawberry Swing? Nope.
'Wouldn't want to change a thing'
Except this song. Yuck!

here's a few i came up with on the job...the very very very boring job...

the first two go together:

Anticipation.
Waiting. Pacing. On the brink...
Realization.

Viva La Vida
New rhythm for this journey.
Let it soak in now.

this one is silly, but here it is.

the Clocks are stopped. i
will try to Fix You for good.
Yes, Yes, i will try.

we are still missing some haiku from paul tym and stuart.

Haven't heard it yet
Am still confused as to how
Chris and Kanye work

Jordan, you're 'anticipation' one seems a bit sleazy. I'm just saying.

not to be a wet blanket but honestly, people, we need to get a life. i know i will be ripped for this comment but i could not resist. in the words of jerry seinfeld, "look at us, were not men".

not a single bloody imaginative bone in your body, mr hepler. oh the shame.

stuart, didn't your mother ever tell you, 'if you cant haiku nicely...dont haiku at all!'

Paul David McComas said...

Got no tyme
For computer glare

You guys must be
Bored to death
And all your friends
That's Coldplays mess

Note that this form of poetrry is characterized by
whatever I want it to be. Y-Ku translation: Pirate Haiku baby!

this post is quickly becoming the def poetry jam slam...

Yo, yo Tymy D. be trippin'
Needing to be different
Like Jordan needed Pippen
Needing to create
Like smokin' flapjacks need flippin'
With his green tea always sippin'

You don't need to ask cause you know his name
But if he's always different
Isn't that the same?

Yo, yo...I'm out...

OK nobody accuse me of being bored at work or whatever! It is Sunday afternoon and I am relaxing waiting for the Euro Cup finals match to start. And this didn't take me forever to write, etc. Being creative doesn't mean you're bored. Right, Tym?
